Kohli, Yuvraj dismantle Pakistan: 2017 CT IND v PAK (Birmingham)

Skipper Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh made Pakistan pay for their poor fielding by dishing out a 124-run thrashing to their rivals in the opening game.

Despite the frequent rain interruptions, India made a terrific start as Rohit Sharma (91 from 119 balls) and Shikhar Dhawan (68 from 65 balls) put on 136 for the first wicket. Yuvraj's 53 from 32 balls and Kohli’s 81 not out from 68 balls helped India post 319 for three.

In reply, Pakistan never had control of the required run rate and were all out for 164 chasing a revised Duckworth/Lewis total of 289 in 41 overs.

India 319 for 3 (Rohit 91, Kohli 81*, Dhawan 68, Yuvraj 53) beat Pakistan 164 (Azhar 50, Umesh 3-30) by 124 runs (DLS method).
