Hasan, Azhar oust England to make final: 2017 CT Semi ENG v PAK (Cardiff)

Pakistan registered a crushing eight-wicket victory over favourites England with 12 overs to spare thanks to Azhar Ali (76) and a dominant bowling attack led by Hasan Ali.

England collapsed to post 211 runs with Joe Root top scoring with 46. Paceman Hassan Ali was the pick of the Pakistan attack as he picked up 3-35 and was supported by Junaid Khan (2-42) and debutant Ramman Raees (2-44).

In reply, Pakistan passed the target with ease as Azhar Ali (76) led the way. Fakhar Zaman, playing only his third ODI, scored his second fifty and set the platform for the chase.

Pakistan, ranked a lowly 8th, are now into their first ever Champions Trophy final.

Pakistan 215 for 2 (Azhar 76, Fakhar 57) beat England 211 (Root 46, Bairstow 43, Hasan 3-35, Junaid 2-42) by eight wickets .
