Shakib five has Australia in a spin: 1st Test, Day 2 (Mirpur)

Shakib Al Hasan took 5-68 to skittle out Australia for 217 as Bangladesh took control of the Test.

Bangladesh was 43 runs ahead after dismissing Australia and ended the day strongly placed at 45-1 with Tamim Iqbal (30 not out) looking assured on a wearing pitch.

Earlier, Peter Handscomb and Matthew Renshaw rescued Australia with a 69 runs stand. Ashton Agar's late hitting (41 not out) ensured some respectability.

Bangladesh 260 and 45 for 1 (Tamim 30*, Taijul 0*) lead Australia 217 (Renshaw 45, Shakib 5-68, Mehidy 3-62) by 88 runs.
