Amla, de Kock whip Bangladesh with record stand: 1st ODI (Kimberley)

Openers Quinton de Kock and Hashim Amla shared a record partnership as South Africa demolished Bangladesh by 10 wickets.

Amla (110 off 112 balls, 8 fours) and de Kock (168 off 145 balls, 21 fours and 2 sixes) had an unbrokeen partnership of 282 which was the joint sixth highest of all time and only four runs short of the first wicket record.

Earlier, Mushfiqur Rahim hit 110 not out which was the first century by a Bangladesh batsman against South Africa. Bangladesh’s total of 278-7 was their highest in one-day games against South Africa.

South Africa 282 for 0 (de Kock 168*, Amla 110*) beat Bangladesh 278 for 7 (Mushfiqur 110*, Rabada 4-43) by 10 wickets.
