Shadab, Faheem in rescue act on Ireland debut: Only Test, Day 2 (Dublin)

Paceman Boyd Rankin had Azhar Ali caught at slip to claim the first Test wicket in Ireland's first ever Test match after Day 1 was washed out.

Shafiq (62) stood out as the Ireland seamers had the Pakistani's on the backfoot at 159-6 as Rankin, Tim Murtagh and Stuart Thompson claimed two wickets each.

Shadab (52 not out), playing just his second Test, and Faheem (61 not out) put on 109 for the 7th wicket to enable a strong fightback.

Pakistan 1st innings 268/6 (Shadab Khan 52*, Faheem Ashraf 61*, 76 ov).
