Retiring Cook shines as India dominate: 5th Test, Day 1 (Oval)

In his last Test match before retirement, Alastair Cook made 71 but India's bowlers seized the initiative on day one.

Moeen Ali made a steady 50 but his and Cook's dismissal sparked a collapse, with England losing three wickets for one run and three more for 10 runs.

Bumrah (2-41) and Ishant (3-28) bowled well late in the day as England, leading the series 3-1, limped to 198-7.

England 198 for 7 (Cook 71, Moeen 50, Ishant 3-28, Bumrah 2-41) v India.

Sept 2018.
