Boult hat trick seals crushing win over Pakistan: 1st ODI (Abu Dhabi)

Paceman Trent Boult took a hat trick and destroyed Pakistan's top order to help New Zealand go 1-0 up in the ODI series.

Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam and Mohammad Hafeez were the hat trick victims, as Boult took 3-54 to bowl out Pakistan for 219.

Boult claimed New Zealand's first ODI hat-trick in nearly 12 years as the visitors claimed their 12tj straight ODI win against Pakistan – a streak that stretches back to 2014.

Earlier, half centuries from Ross Taylor (80) and Tom Latham (68) revived the Kiwis as they posted 266-9.

New Zealand 266 for 9 (Taylor 80, Latham 68, Shadab 4-38, Afridi 4-46) beat Pakistan 219 (Sarfraz 64, Imad 50, Ferguson 3-36, Boult 3-54) by 47 runs.

Nov 2018.
