Bangladesh shock South Africa after Rahim, Shakib heroics: 2019 WC #5 (Oval)

Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakib Al Hasan put on 142 runs as Bangladesh stunned South Africa to start their World Cup campaign with a shock 21-run win.

Rahim hit 78 and Shakib Al Hasan smashed 75 as Bangladesh posted 330-6 - their highest one-day total.

In reply, captain Faf du Plessis stood firm with 62 and Rassie van der Dussen was dismissed for 41 in the 40th over. Paceman Mustafizur took 3-67 as South Africa were held to 309-8.

Bangladesh 330 for 6 (Mushfiqur 78, Shakib 75, Phehlukwayo 2-52) beat South Africa 309 for 8 (du Plessis 62, Mustafizur 3-67) by 21 runs.
