Shakib, Liton roar to chase down Windies: 2019 WC #23 (Taunton)

Shakib Al Hasan hit a superb unbeaten 124 as Bangladesh pulled off a sensational seven-wicket win over West Indies.

Chasing a massive 322 for victory, Shakib smashed his second successive century of the tournament off 83 balls. He put on 189 with Liton Das (94 not out) as Bangladesh reached their target with 51 balls to spare.

This was the second highest chase in World Cup Cricket history after Ireland upset England in the 2011 World Cup.

Earlier, the West Indies' 321-8 was built around Shai Hope's 96, Evin Lewis hit a brutal 70 and Shimron Hetmyer clubbed a 26-ball fifty.

Bangladesh 322 for 3 (Shakib 124*, Liton 94*, Tamim 48) beat West Indies 321 for 8 (Hope 96, Lewis 70, Hetmyer 50, Mustafizur 3-59, Saifuddin 3-72) by seven wickets.

June 2019.
