Du Plessis crushes Sri Lankan hopes: 2019 WC #35 (Riverside)

Skipper Faf du Plessis guided South Africa to a consolation win over Sri Lanka.

Pretorius (3 for 25) and Morris (3 for 46) kept a tight lid on Sri Lanka as no player scored more than 30. Sri Lanka were bowled out for 203 in the final over of their innings.

In reply, South Africa won with 76 balls to spare, with Faf du Plessis making 96 not out and Hashim Amla an unbeaten 80.

South Africa 206 for 1 (du Plessis 96*, Amla 80*) beat Sri Lanka 203 (Avishka 30, Pretorius 3 for 25, Morris 3 for 46) by nine wickets.
