Malinga retires as SL thrash Bangladesh: 1st ODI (RPS)

Veteran speedster Lasith Malinga shone in his farewell ODI after Kusal Perera struck a quickfire century as Sri Lanka crushed Bangladesh by 91 runs.

Kusal Perera smashed 111 as Sri Lanka posted 314 runs losing eight wickets.

In reply, Mushfiqur Rahim’s 67 off 86 deliveries and Sabbir Rahman’s 60 off 56 balls in the middle could only help Tigers reach 223 in 41.4 overs as they fell short by 91 runs.

Malinga took 3-38.

Sri Lanka 314 for 8 (Perera 111, Mathews 48, Shafiul 3-62) beat Bangladesh 223 all out (Mushfiqur 67, Malinga 3-38) by 91 runs.
