Babar, Shinawari crush Sri Lanka: 2nd ODI (Karachi)

Babar Azam's century helped Pakistan to a crushing 67-run victory over Sri Lanka in a return to ODi cricket in Karachi after 10 years.

Azam’s 11th ODI ton was the key to Pakistan's 303-7. He received strong support from Fakhar Zaman and Haris Sohail, after Imam-ul-Haq had helped the former add 73 for the first wicket.

Usman Shinwari took three early wickets in his career best as 5-51 as Sri Lankan crumbled early to 28-5.

Shehan Jayasuriya and Dasun Shanaka set a new best sixth-wicket partnership of 177 for Sri Lanka. Shinwari ended Jayasuriya's superb knock four short of a hundred before Shanaka's entertaining innings of 68 was finished by Shadab Khan.

Pakistan are now 1-0 up in the 3 match series after the 1st ODI was washed out.

Pakistan 305 for 7 (Babar 115, Fakhar 54, Hasaranga 2-63) beat Sri Lanka 238 (Jayasuriya 96, Shanaka 68, Shinwari 5-51) by 67 runs.
