Warner, Burns thrash Pakistan: 1st Test, Day 2 (Gabba)

Opener David Warner smashed Pakistan’s attack with a brilliant 151 not out as he put on a double century stand with Joe Burns.

Australia finished on 312 for the loss of just one wicket, 72 runs ahead of Pakistan's first innings total of 240.

Burns made 97 before falling to leg spinner Yasir Shah (1-101).

Paceman Naseem looked impressive on debut and regularly bowled at over 145 kilometres per hour. He got Warner to  nick the ball to wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan only to have overstepped the mark.

Australia 1 for 312 (Warner 151*, Labuschagne 55*) lead Pakistan 240 (Shafiq 76, Azhar 39, Starc 4-52, Cummins 3-60) by 72 runs.
