Avishka, Kusal hammer Windies, SL win series: 2nd ODI (Hambantota)

Avishka Fernando and Kusal Mendis smashed centuries as Sri Lanka thrashed West Indies by 161 runs to clinch the series 2-0.

After being inserted by Pollard, Fernando, who blasted 127, and Mendis, who made 119, put on 239 runs in Sri Lanka's highest third-wicket stand as the hosts amassed 345 for eight.

Spinners Wanindu Hasaranga and Lakshan Sandakan took three wickets each as Sri Lanka bowled out the West Indies for 184 in 39.1 overs.

Sri Lanka 345 for 8 (Fernando 127, Mendis 119, Cottrell 4-67, Joseph 3-57) beat West Indies 184 (Hope 51, Hasaranga 3-30, Sandakan 3-57) by 161 runs.
