Blackwood, Gabriel setup thrilling win over England: 1st Test, Day 5 (Southampton)

Jermaine Blackwood extended his excellent record against England and secure West Indies a four-wicket victory.

Chasing 200 on the final day, the tourists were reduced to 27-3 before lunch. Blackwood (95) combined with Roston Chase for a stand of 63, then added 68 with Shane Dowrich to guide the win after a few nervous moments.

Earlier, paceman Shannon Gabriel took 5-75 to dismiss England for 313.

West Indies 318 (Brathwaite 65, Dowrich 61, Anderson 3-62, Stokes 4-49) and 200 for 6 (Blackwood 95, Archer 3-45) beat England 204 (Gabriel 4-62, Holder 6-42) and 313 (Sibley 50, Crawley 76, Gabriel 5-75) by 4 wickets.
