Kohli run out sparks collapse under lights: 1st Test, Day 1 (Adelaide)

Ajinkya Rahane left his captain Virat Kohli stranded mid pitch in a comical run out sparking a mini collapse after tea to gift Australia an advantage over India.

The Aussie bowling attack bowled tightly to control proceedings. Cheteshwar Pujara (43), Virat Kohli (74) and Ajinkya Rahane (42) provided the bulk of India's runs on a slow scoring day, but they will be disappointed that none of the trio was able to bat through and make it a big one.

After 3 quick wickets, Saha and Aswin battled 8 overs in an unbroken stand of 27 runs at the end to ensure India closed at 233-6.

This was India's first Test played under lights at an overseas venue.

India 6 for 233 (Kohli 74, Pujara 43, Starc 2-49) vs Australia.
