India square series with epic win over Australia: 2nd Test, Day 4 (MCG)

Bouncing back from humiliation in the 1st Test, India pulled off one of its greatest Test wins, to stun Australia by eight wickets at the MCG.

Resuming at 133-6, Cameron Green and Pat Cummins stood firm for over an hour of play until a sharp Jasprit Bumrah bouncer finally broke the partnership with Cummins fending off to the slip cordon to fall for 22 off 103 deliveries. Australia were eventually bowled out for 200, leaving India to chase 70 for the win.

Skipper Rahane who hit a match winning century in the first innings shone again, compiling an unbeaten innings of 24 after the loss of two early wickets.

The series is squared at 1-1 with 2 Tests to play.

India 326 (Rahane 112, Jadeja 57, Lyon 3-72, Starc 3-78) and 70 for 2 beat Australia 195 (Bumrah 4-56) and 200 (Green 45, Siraj 3-37) by eight wickets.
