Ashwin skittles England for 134: 2nd Test, Day 2 (Chennai)

Ravi Ashwin took five wickets as England's batting crumbled in the Chennai dust on a crumbling pitch.

England had few answers against India's skilful spinners, slipping to 52-5 in response to the hosts' 329.

Wicket keeper Ben Foakes provided admirable resistance with an unbeaten 42, saving a follow-on that probably would not have been enforced, before England were bowled out for 134.

Earlier, Pant struck 58 not out to take India to 329 in the first innings.

India 329 (Pant 58*, Moeen 4-128) and 54 for 1 lead England 134 (Ashwin 5-43) by 249 runs.
