Mahmudullah inspires narrow win over NZ: 2nd T20 (Dhaka)

Skipper Mahmudullah led from the front as Bangladesh went 2-0 up in the five-match T20I series against New Zealand.

Bangladesh bowlers managed to hold their nerve as they restricted New Zealand for 137 for five, to clinch a four-run victory and take a 2-0 lead in the series despite Kiwi skipper Tom Latham’s valiant unbeaten 65-run innings.

Earlier, Bangladesh made 141 for six with Mohammad Naim making 39 and Mahmudullah posting an unbeaten 37. Naim and Liton Das put on 59 runs for the opening wicket.

Bangladesh 141 for 6 (Naim 39, Mahmudullah 37*, Ravindra 3-22) beat New Zealand 137 for 5 (Latham 65*, Mahedi 2-12, Shakib 2-29) by four runs.
