Record Root ton takes England to brink of win: 2nd Test, Day 3 (Lords)

Joe Root hit a record 34th century - and his second of the match - as England edged closer to a series victory over Sri Lanka at Lords.

Root made 103, passing Alastair Cook's record for Test hundreds for England.

Sri Lanka 196 and 53 for 2 (Karunaratne 23*, Stone 1-1, Atkinson 1-15) need a further 430 runs to beat
