India outclass Zimbabwe for 4-1 series win: 5th T20 (Harare)

Sanju Samson struck 58 to help India recover and beat Zimbabwe by 42 runs to win the five-match series 4-1.

India were reduced to 44/3 inside the Powerplay after being asked to bat first by Zimbabwe. Samson, who was part of India’s T20 World Cup-winning squad, hit four sixes in his 45-ball innings to help India score 167-6.

In reply, Zimbabwe fought back with a 44-run partnership between Tadiwanashe Marumani (27) and Dion Myers (34) after an early set back. Washington Sundar (1-7 in two overs) and Dube (2-25) kept Zimbabwe to 125.

India 167 for 6 (Samson 58, Dube 26, Muzarabani 2-19) beat Zimbabwe 125 (Myers 34, Marumani 27, Akram 27, Mukesh 4-22, Dube 2-25) by 42 runs.
