Pakistan boss England after Saud Shakeel century: 3rd Test, Day 2 (Rawalpindi)

A superb century by Saud Shakeel edged Pakistan ahead of England on day 2 at Rawalpindi.

Shakeel’s defiant 134, helped by partnerships with Noman Ali (45) and Sajid (48), rescued Pakistan as they posted 344.

Starting 77 behind, England lost 3 quick wickets to finish at 24-3 to hand the initiative to Pakistan.

England 267 (Smith 89, Duckett 52; Sajid 6-128) & 24-3 (Noman 2-9) are 53 behind Pakistan 344 (Shakeel 134, Sajid 48*; Ahmed 4-66).
