Shanto leads win over Afghanistan to level series: 2nd ODI (Sharjah)

Skipper Shanto was the star as Bangladesh beat Afghanistan by 68 runs to level the three-match series at Sharjah.

Shanto stroked 76 and was supported by debutant Jaker Ali (37 not out) as Bangladesh posted 252 on a spinning track.

In reply, Rahmat Shah made 52 and opener Sediqullah Atal added 39 to put Afghanistan on top until the Bangladesh spinners spun them to victory.

Bangladesh 252 for 7 (Shanto 76, Jaker 37*, Kharote 3-28) beat Afghanistan 184 (Rahmat 52, Nasum 3-28, Mehidy 2-37) by 68 runs.
