Opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz's superb century crushed Bangladesh to claim a thrilling five-wicket win and a 2-1 series victory.
Gurbaz smashed his eighth ODI century in just his 46th match, equaling the world record held by cricketing legends Sachin Tendulkar and Quinton de Kock for the most centuries before turning 23 years old.
Earlier, after winning the toss, Bangladesh lost 4 early wickets. Skipper Mehidy and Mahmudullah took charge, sharing a 145-run partnership off 188 balls, and took Bangladesh to 8-244. Omarzai took 4-37.
Afghanistan 246 for 5 (Gurbaz 101, Omarzai 70*, Rana 2-40) beat Bangladesh 244 for 8 (Mahmudullah 98, Mehidy 66, Omarzai 4-37) by five.
