Abdul Razzaq

Abdul Razzaq was born on 2 December 1979 in Lahore. He was a powerful allrounder; bowling right arm fast-medium and batting right-handed.

He made his ODI debut against Zimbabwe at his home ground (Gaddafi Stadium) a month before his seventeenth birthday in Nov 1996. Razzaq took 2-29.

He made his Test debut against Australia in the 1st Test in Brisbane in 1999 - he scored 11 and 1 and took 0-66 -as Pakistan went down by 10 wickets.

Over a long career, Razzaq has deveoped a reputation for being an aggressive batsman who hit the ball a long way. He had an uncanny ability to score quick runs in the death overs.

One of Razzaq's most memorable innings was when he struck 109 not out (10 sixers) in 72 balls to propel Pakistan to an unexpected 1 wicket win with a ball to spare over South Africa in the 2nd ODI in Abu Dhabi in Oct 2010.
