Kevin O'Brien was born in Dublin on 4 March 1984. He is a hard hitting allrounder and the brother of Ireland's keeper Niall O'Brien.
O'Brien made his ODI debute for Ireland in 2006 against England. In just his 5th ODI, he smashed 142 against Kenya.
In the most memorable moment of his career, he scored a 50 ball century, the fastest ever in World Cup history, to guide Ireland to a remarkable win over England in March 2011.
O’Brien made his Test debut against Pakistan in Ireland’s inaugural Test match in May 2018. He struck their first ever century during this match.
