Durham paceman made a good debut

Matthew Potts comes from Durham and has also played U-19 cricket for England. He is a right arm fast medium bowler and right hand batsman.

Potts was educated at St Robert of Newminster Catholic School and Sixth Form College. He was a member of Durham's cricket academy.

His breakthrough season was 2017 when he made first-class debut for Durham vs Kent.   

Potts took 4-15 on his Test debut against New Zealand at Lords in June 2022. He had a match bag of 7 wickets as England snatched a surprise win.
