Akash Deep: Handy seamer makes a late start

Akash Deep was born in Dehri on 15 Dec 1996.

Deep is a gifted right-arm fast-medium bowler, possesses the ability to generate substantial seam movement and deliver impactful performances with both ball and bat.

Originating from Bihar, he transitioned to Bengal due to the constraints imposed by the Bihar Cricket Association. His T20 debut was for Bengal in the 2018-19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy marked the beginning of a promising career trajectory.

Deep made his Test debut for India against England in the 4th Test at Ranchi. He took 3-83.
