Broad five has England on top: 1st Test, Day 1 (Gabba)

Stuart Broad was the chief destroyer as he tore through the Australian top order claiming 5 for 65 as Australia limped to 273-8.

Broad had Australia in tatters early at 6 for 132 before a fighting 114-run seventh-wicket partnership by Brad Haddin (78 not out) and Mitchell Johnson (64) rescued the home side.
