Dhawan, Shankar power Indian win over Bangladesh: Nidahas Trophy No 2 (RPS)

Shikhar Dhawan hit his second successive half-century to help India thrash Bangladesh by six wickets and register their first win in the tri nations Nidahas Trophy.

Dhawan made 55 as India easily overhauled Bangladesh's below par 139 for eight with 8 balls to spare.

Earlier, Vijay Shankar put in a disciplined effort to restrict Bangladesh to a modest 139 for eight. Only Liton Das, who top-scored with 34 and Sabbir Rahman, who hit 30 off 26 balls gave some respectability to Bangladesh.

India 140 for 4 (Dhawan 55, Rubel 2-24) beat Bangladesh 139 for 8 (Liton 34, Unadkat 3-38) by six wickets.
