England in semis, SL self destruct: 2016 WT20 No 29 ENG v SRL (Delhi)

England knocked out the stuttering defending champions to reach the semi-finals with a 10-run win over Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka handed victory on a platter when they allowed England to post 171-4, in which Jos Buttler plundered 66 not out from 37 balls.

In reply, Sri Lanka collapsed early to loose 4 quick wickets for 15 before Angelo Mathews hit five sixes in an unbeaten 54-ball 73. Chris Jordan took two wickets in the 19th over and Ben Stokes' sealed the win with a miserly last over that only conceded 4 runs. England 171 for 4 (Buttler 66*, Roy 42) beat Sri Lanka 161 for 8 (Mathews 73*, Jordan 4-28) by 10 runs.
