Late Anderson burst pegs back Windies: 1st Test, Day 1 (Barbados)

Veteran paceman James Anderson took four wickets in the final session as England edged ahead of the West Indies.

Shai Hope, Roston Chase and Shimron Hetmyer (56 not out off 60 balls) struck fifties but Anderson dismissed Hope for 57, before removing Roston Chase for 54, Shane Dowrich and captain Jason Holder with the second new ball to leave the hosts 264-8.

West Indies 264-8 (Hope 57, Hetmyer 56*, Chase 54; Anderson 4-33).
