Latham smashes Bangladesh for win: 1st ODI (Christchurch)

Opener Tom Latham's career best 137 set New Zealand up for a crushing 77-run victory over Bangladesh.

A fifth-wicket stand by Latham and Colin Munro (87) powered New Zealand a commanding 7-341.

In reply, Shakib Al Hasan topped their bowling (3-69) and batting (59) and Mosaddek Hossain was not out 50 at the end, his maiden ODI half-century and Bangladesh closed at 264-9 with the injured Rahim unable to bat.

New Zealand 341 for 7 (Latham 137, Munro 87, Shakib 3-69) beat Bangladesh 264 for 9 (Shakib 59, Neesham 3-36, Ferguson 3-59) by 77 run.
