Moeen goes from discarded to vice captain against India (Oval)

After being ignored for more than two years in the Test team, Moeen Ali will take on India at the Oval in the 4th Test as England’s vice?captain.

After playing just 3 Tests in the past 30 months, Moeen said “They obviously consider me somebody who’s experienced in the team now and has the character to be vice-captain. I don’t see it as my spot cemented,”

Moeen was elevated after Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler were both unavailable. The series is level at 1-1.
