Rabada blow edges South Africa ahead: 4th Test, Day 1 (Manchester)

Ben Stokes (58) was bowled in the penultimate over of the day by paceman Kagiso Rabada to hand a slight edge to South Africa.

After winning the toss, skipper Joe Root (52) became the fastest England player in the modern era to reach 5,000 Test runs in his 105th innings. Ben Stokes' 10th Test half-century helped England post 260-6 on a day of fluctuating fortunes with the series in the balance.

England 260 for 6 (Stokes 58, Root 52, Rabada 2-52) v South Africa.
