Sanga and Mendis knock Aussies out: ICC T20 #8 (Trent Bridge) - Part 2 of 2

Mystery spinner Ajantha Mendis (3-30) stopped Australia in its tracksand Lasith Malinga (3-36) came back strongly at the end to restrictAustralia to 159-9 on a good batting track.

Only some late order hitting from the tail led by Johnson (28 not out from 13 balls) ensured some respectability. Dilshan (53) was in a hurry cutting pulling and driving the seamers almost at will and Sangakkara (55 not out) was sublime and silky as the Lankans won with an over to spare by 6 wickets.

Game 8, Trent Bridge, June 2009.
