Cook, Root tons dominate start of day night era: 1st Test, Day 1 (Birmingham)

Alastair Cook and Joe Root heralded the start of day night Tests in the UK by scoring centuries as England dominated West Indies.

Cook scored an unbeaten 153, sharing 248 with skipper Root (136) as England posted 348-3. Paceman Kemar Roach took 2 wickets but the rest of the Windies attack were found wanting.
