Cook and Trott in record stand: 1st Test, Day 3 (Cardiff)

Alastair Cook made it two hundreds in as many Test innings and combined with Jonathan Trott in an unbroken stand of 240  that batted England back into the test. Cook was 129 not out and Trott 125 not out as England closed on 287 for two in reply to Sri Lanka's first innings 400, a deficit of 113 in response to Sri Lanka's 400.1st Test, Day 3 (Cardiff), May 2011
