England collapse after maiden Lyth century: 2nd Test, Day 2 (Leeds)

Rookie opener Adam Lyth (107) hit his maiden Test century on his home ground but New Zealand fought back as England lost three quick wickets to the second new ball late in the day.

Earlier, Alastair Cook (75) passed Graham Gooch's record of 8,900 Test runs to become England's highest scorer.

England 253 for 5 (Lyth 107, Cook 75, Bell 12*, Buttler 6*) trail New Zealand 350 (Ronchi 88, Latham 84, Broad 5-109) by 97 runs.
