Sanga, Senanayake secure series win: 6th ODI (Pallekele)
Veteran Kumar Sangakkara smashed 112 to lead Sri Lanka to a 4-2 series win over England. Sangakkara and Dilshan (68) had a second-wicket stand of 153 providing the platform from which Sri Lanka posted 130 in the final 15 overs.
In reply, England were bowled out for 202 after they had slumped to 84-5 recovering after a busy 55 from Joe Root. Spinner Suchitra Senanayake started the collapse and ended with 3-33.
Sri Lanka 292 for 7 (Sangakkara 112, Dilshan 68) beat England 202 (Root 55, Woakes 41, Lakmal 4-30, Senanayake 3-33) by 90 runs.
