Silva leads Sri Lanka's fightback: 3rd Test, Day 2 (Lords)

Kaushal Silva was unbeaten on 79 not out as Sri Lanka battled hard to reach 162-1 in batting friendly conditions.

Silva finished unbeaten on 79 and put on 108 for the first wicket with Dimuth Karunaratne who made 50.

Earlier, Jonny Bairstow was 167 not out, the second highest Test score by an England wicketkeeper, while Chris Woakes added 66 in the hosts' 416.

Sri Lanka 162 for 1 (Silva 79*, Mendis 25*) trail England 416 (Bairstow 167*, Cook 85, Woakes 66, Herath 4-81) by 254 runs.
