Warner smashes NZ, Aussies clinch trophy: 2nd ODI (Canberra)

David Warner hit a swashbuckling 119 off 115 balls as Australia beat New Zealand by 116 runs to take the Chappell-Hadlee Trophy 2-0.

Skipper Steve Smith smashed 72 off 76 balls, Travis Head (57 off 32) and Mitchell Marsh finished off the innings with an unbeaten 76 off 40 balls as Australia posted 378-5.

Jimmy Neesham (74 off 83) and Kane Williamson (81) briefly threatened but the Kiwis had a late collapse to be bowled out for 262.

Australia 5 for 378 (Warner 119, Marsh 76, Smith 72, Head 57) beat New Zealand 262 (Williamson 81, Neesham 74, Cummins 4-41) by 116 runs.
