Williamson breaks South Africa hearts in thriller: 2019 WC #25 (Edgbaston)

Skipper Kane Williamson hit a fighting unbeaten century to steer his side to a thrilling four-wicket victory over South Africa.

Williamson smashed a six to complete his century and then struck a four to see the Black Caps past their target of 242 with three balls to spare. Colin de Grandhomme's 60 off 47 balls also helped rescue the Kiwis after they were struggling at 137-5.

Earlier, rain had reduced the match to 49 overs per side. South Africa laboured to 241-5 following Rassie van der Dussen's 67 not out and Hashim Amla's 55.

New Zealand 245 for 6 (Williamson 106*, de Grandhomme 60, Morris 3-49) beat South Africa 241 for 6 (Van der Dussen 67, Ferguson 3-59) by four wickets.
