Debutant Bosch sparks South Africa revival: 1st Test, Day 2 (Centurion)

Corbin Bosch’s remarkable Test debut continued, with the 30-year-old hitting an unbeaten 81 in addition to his first innings four-wicket haul to put them in command against Pakistan at Centurion.

Bosch struck an unbeaten 93-ball 81 to rescue South Africa as they posted 301, a 90-run lead. This was the highest score by a debutant batting at No 8.

Marco Jensen then took two late wickets as Pakistan finished on 88-3 in their second innings, just two runs behind South Africa.

Pakistan 211 and 88 for 3 (Babar 16*, Jansen 2-17) trail South Africa 301 (Markram 89, Bosch 81*, Shahzad 3-75, Naseem 3-92) by two runs.
