Starc, Lyon put SL under pressure: 2nd Test, Day 1 (Galle)

Spinner Nathan Lyon and left arm quick Mitchell Starc dominated Sri Lanka to have them under the cosh after the home side won a good toss at Galle.

After lunch, Lyon (3-78) broke a 70-run stand for the second wicket and began a familiar Sri Lankan collapse of 4-34. Sri Lanka ended at 229-9 stumps after having recovered from 150-6.

A defiant 65-run stand from Kusal Mendis and Ramesh Mendis for the 7th wicket helped the home team.
