1984 2nd Test: Robinson guts India, England win away after 2 years (Delhi)

Opener Tim Robinson struck a sublime century to rescue England on the way to their first overseas Test win since 1982, an expected 8 wicket win over India at Delhi.

Kapil Dev struck a sparkling 60 as England allowed India to recover from 140/6 to 307 all out.

At 181/4 in reply, the match was delicately poised when newcomer Robinson put England in a strong position. His 160, in just his second Test, helped England to a first-innings lead of 111.
