1979: Botham in rescue act, blasts 137 against India (Leeds)

Ian Botham smashed 137 runs in the 3rd Test match between England and India at Headingley, Leeds.

England were struggling at 89-5 when Botham came in. He and Geoff Miller put on 87 runs to resurrect England. Botham scored more than half of England’s eventual score of 270 all out.

This 3rd Test ended in a draw.
