Jaiswal, Gill tons get new look India off to rousing start: 1st Test, Day 1 (Leeds)

The new guard Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal punished England and moved India to 359-3 on Day 1 at Headingley.

After being inserted by Ben Stokes, opener Jaiswal struck 101 and skipper Gill elegantly stroked his way to 127 not out. Gill's partnership with Rishabh Pant (65 not out) for the 4th wicket is already worth 138.

Bowling with swing and purpose, Stokes was the pick of the bowlers with 2-43.
