Kusal extends Sri Lanka’s dominance over Bangladesh: 2nd Test, Day 3 (SSC)

An attacking 84 from Kusal Mendis enabled Sri Lanka to secure a 211-run lead before reducing Bangladesh to 115/6 at Galle.

The visitors are still trailing Sri Lanka by 96 runs with only four wickets in hand.

Earlier, Sri Lanka lost three quick wickets in the first hour, including Pathum Nissanka who struck a superb 158 off 254 balls (19 fours). Kusal Mendis played a counterattacking knock of 84 off 87 balls, striking 8 fours and 2 sixes as Sri Lanka posted 458.

Bangladesh 247 and 115 for 6 (Mushfiqur 26, Dhananjaya 2-13, Jayasuriya 2-47) trail Sri Lanka 458 (Nissanka 158, Chandimal 93, Kusal 84, Taijul 5-131) by 96 runs.
