Record Gill double century has India in charge: 2nd Test, Day 2 (Birmingham)

Shubman Gill's epic double century put India in command after two days of the second Test at Edgbaston.

Gill’s 269 was the highest score by an Indian in England. It enabled India to post 587.

Recalled seamer Akash Deep picked up two wickets in two balls as England went three down for 25 runs in the first 43 deliveries. England limped to stumps at 77-3.

England 77 for 3 trail India 587 (Gill 269, Jadeja 89, Jaiswal 87, Bashir 3-167) by 510 runs.
